The 2014 Audi S3 Sedan is a small sports sedan that has attracted the attention of many people from the moment it was announced. Here’s our review of this elegant sport vehicle.
2014 Audi S3 Sedan Engine
The engine that will drive the 2014 Audi S3 Sedan is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI engine that will be able to develop 296 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. It will allow this elegant sedan to reach the speed of 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, and to move at maximum speed of 155 mph. It is rated at 34 mpg combined.
The engine can be mated to a six-speed manual or robotized S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission. The S-tronic technology combines the responsiveness of a manual transmission with the convenience of an automatic gearbox.
Attractive sedan continues the current design language of Audi, whose body resembles a four-door coupe. The front and rear sections look more prominent comparing to an older model.
Some of the exterior features include the new single-frame chrome grille, restyled and modified bumper, mirror housings, subtle rear spoiler, four exhaust tips, air intakes, and new side sills. It drives on 18-inch wheels as standard. Optional are the new 19-inch alloy wheels.
The 2014 Audi S3 Sedan is lower than its predecessor by 0.98 inches (about 25 mm). It has a body length of 4.44 m, width 1.84 m, and 1.39 m in height.
There is not much innovation within the 2014 Audi S3 Sedan. It features a simple cabin with standard dashboard. Only addition are the new sport seats. new instruments and black trim strips. For additional cost, the seats can be upgraded to S-line performance seats.
Although this is a small car, there is enough room in the cabin for adult passengers, whether they’re sitting front or back.
Price of 2014 Audi S3 Sedan
We don’t know the exact price of this model yet, but expect it to be about $40,000 or more.
2015 Audi S3 Plus
This Sedan is one of the models to receive the Plus package treatment. The Plus package includes the all-new and improved engine developed by Volkswagen Group.
The 2015 Audi S3 Plus will be powered by a four-cylinder turbo engine that will be able to produce 375 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque.
The automaker will reveal the Plus model by the end of this year.
